How much does the whole project cost, not one robot?
The robot is one line in the estimate. The project also covers WMS integration, commissioning, operator training and sometimes infrastructure work. A full project can run into tens of millions, which is why we cost the whole thing for your process rather than quoting the price of a box. And we offer leasing or rental so you do not pay it all at once.
What does the robot do when something goes wrong, and how fast does a person step in?
If the robot runs into something out of the ordinary (film on a pallet, a foreign object, a placement error), it stops and signals rather than pushing on. Then the operator or remote support steps in. We agree the failure scenarios and response times in advance: line downtime is expensive, so this is part of the contract rather than improvisation.
Which pallets and loads are supported, and what about non-standard ones?
Robots have tight tolerances on pallet dimensions (usually within a few millimetres), a robot will not take more than one pallet per cell, and awkward loads (glass, tyres) need a special gripper. That is why we go through your product mix before deployment: where the robot will cope and where manual work is the honest answer. A robot pays off on long, uniform routes, not on a zoo of different loads.
How quickly does a pilot start and how many robots at the beginning?
A pilot usually starts with 3-5 units on one line or station, so the process can be tested without stopping the working warehouse. Once it proves itself, you scale up step by step. That approach removes the risk: you are not switching the whole warehouse to robots blind.
What if our warehouse processes are a mess?
Then processes first, robots second. A robot in a warehouse that is not in order is expensive chaos: it automates the mess instead of removing it. That is why we audit the readiness of the WMS and the processes before proposing anything. If the station is not ready for robots, we will say so and suggest putting things in order first.
